Here at Venture Canoes we use our own exclusive polyethylene construction material called 'CoreLite'.

All our canoes are roto-moulded out of this triple-layered material and are extremely durable and versatile, require little or no maintenance and offer great value for money.

One downside in the past has been weight, but with the development of Corelite we manufacture some of the lightest roto-moulded canoes around!
Corelite combines a central foam core of polyethylene with tough outer and inner skins, which provide the following key benefits:
Greater Rigidity
Improving efficiency through the water and greatly reducing flex in rougher conditions making it a suitable material for canoes which will venture out on to rivers and in rougher conditions. It also has much improved resistance to general denting while in storage and while transporting on your roof rack.
Increased Safety
The lower specific gravity (SG) of our triple layer material increases its inherent buoyancy and makes the canoe float much higher when full of water, assisting with self-rescue techniques.
Increased Durability
Even if the outer shell is damaged, the core will not absorb any water, leak or suffer any lasting damage and can be easily repaired at your leisure .
